High-quality and competitive SMT assembly calls for more than just machine-based assembly processes. That is why all our SMT production lines are equipped with solder paste printers, solder paste inspection systems (SPI), automatic placement machines, reflow ovens and an inspection system (AOI: automated optical inspection).
Solder paste printing is essential for the assembly quality. Therefore, both the precise positioning and order quantity of all printed circuit boards are checked, before the assembly process begins. And even at this stage, we are already meeting our customers’ steadily increasing requirements. By using a 3D SPI, we are able to positively influence the quality as early as during the solder paste printing process.
The Fuji NXT 3 is our answer to the high requirements of SMT automatic placement machines. The high-tech machines can each place up to 60,000 components an hour. Despite these top speeds, placement errors are impossible with these high-end devices, since the feeders are linked to the components. Another one of the systems’ advantages is that during the assembly process an automatic, item-specific stock adjustment is performed in the ERP system. Therefore, we are always able to track the current stock situation.
The soldering process takes place under a nitrogen atmosphere using product-specific temperature profiles. All our reflow ovens are equipped with a number of heating and cooling zones, which allow us to melt the solder with pinpoint accuracy. Immediately afterwards, an AOI test is then performed, which provides insight into the positioning accuracy and solder pattern. By investing in a 3D AOI, we have created an opportunity for our customers to analyse each assembly in even greater detail once the soldering process has been completed, and we are thus able to deliver nothing but excellent quality products.
As a result, we can manufacture to high accuracies even under tight deadlines while supplying you with high-quality components.
