Selective coating

Increasing levels of electrification and digitisation are also changing the environment in which electronic components are used. More than ever, electronics are exposed to tough environmental conditions: corrosion, humidity or surface contaminations are just a few examples. An additional protective coating promises the necessary protection against these more difficult conditions. However, there is a need to balance the costs and benefits.

That is why we offer our customers a selective coating option. In this way, some sections can be left out, and it is possible to coat only those sections that matter. We recognised our customers’ needs in this area very early on and invested in a modern in-line coating system.

Namely, in Nordson’s Asymtek SL 940 and the Nordson UV-9 oven.

The Asymtek SL 940 offers a wide range of application options, such as jetting, dispensing and spraying, while simultaneously providing the highest level of process security. In combination with Nordson’s UV-9 oven for UV drying, it forms a clever in-line concept, which guarantees optimised process sequences.
